The leopard gecko is probably the most popular pet lizard today in captivity. This small lizard can come in many different colors and patterns (morphs). They are without a doubt the easiest pet lizard to care for in today’s market. Unlike diurnal lizards, leopard geckos are nocturnal which means they are active at night. Since they are nocturnal, they do not need the special UVB lighting which most of the other pet lizards may need. This can save any owner a great deal of money. Care and maintenance is fairly easy. This would be a great first pet lizard for anyone of any age.
